Iranian president discusses economic pressures, military developments and the outlook of the conflict with Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei as Pezeshkian began his third year in office, according to Iran’s Fars News Agency.
The meeting focused on Iran’s economic and military situation, including measures aimed at addressing the needs of the population and managing the country’s resources amid heightened regional tensions.
According to Fars, the discussions covered people’s livelihood needs, the conditions and future prospects surrounding the ongoing US-Israeli war against Iran, military developments and measures to strengthen the country’s economic position.
The two officials also discussed the management of the rial, foreign-currency resources and energy expenditures, as well as expanding economic engagement with foreign partners.
The meeting comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington and renewed concerns over further escalation following the recent conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
Iranian officials have continued to emphasise economic resilience and domestic resource management as the country faces pressure from the conflict and international restrictions.
The talks between Pezeshkian and Khamenei underline the importance Tehran is placing on coordinating economic and military policy as the country navigates an increasingly uncertain regional environment.
