EAM DR S JAISHANKAR MEETS RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN IN MOSCOW TO DEEPEN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

High-level bilateral talks in the Kremlin bring together senior leadership from both nations to expand trade, energy cooperation, and diplomatic alignment ahead of upcoming summits.

In a major diplomatic engagement highlighting the ongoing strength of the India-Russia strategic partnership, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar called on Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin in Moscow. The Indian delegation, which included Indian Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar and Joint Secretary (ERS) Mayank Singh, engaged in comprehensive talks with President Putin and senior Kremlin leadership. .

The high-level meeting followed the successful co-chairing of the 27th Session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC) earlier in the day.

Representing the Russian Federation alongside President Putin were Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin, and Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov. During the session, Dr. Jaishankar conveyed personal greetings and delivered a special message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The discussions centered on advancing bilateral trade, expanding energy and fertilizer cooperation, enhancing joint technology projects, and aligning perspectives on global geopolitical developments and upcoming multilateral summits.
