Madrid, Spain: Surreal footage from Spain captures the dramatic moment of a total solar eclipse, as the Moon moved directly between the Earth and the Sun, completely blocking sunlight and plunging parts of the country into darkness.
The rare celestial event transformed daylight conditions, creating a striking view as the sky darkened and the solar corona became visible around the Moon.
The eclipse drew attention from spectators and astronomy enthusiasts, with people gathering to witness the phenomenon and capture footage of the unusual change in the daytime sky.
Total solar eclipses occur when the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun from the perspective of observers on Earth. The path of totality is relatively narrow, meaning only locations within that path experience the Sun being completely obscured.
The event provided spectacular scenes across parts of Spain, highlighting one of astronomy’s most visually striking natural phenomena.
