Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed that 822 Ukrainian drones were intercepted, including hundreds targeting the Moscow region.
The large-scale assault comes as Ukraine has increasingly used long-range drones to strike targets deep inside Russian territory, including military, industrial and logistics facilities. The attacks marks a significant escalation in Ukraine’s aerial campaign against Russia.

The facility is located near Podolsk, south of Moscow. Russian authorities also reported that an 83-year-old man was killed in the region.
The attacks were not limited to the Moscow area. Rostov region, which lies close to Ukraine and contains important industrial and transport infrastructure, was also targeted. Russian officials reported five deaths there and damage to infrastructure following the strikes.
